A-G Associates is proud to announce the partnership with NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals. NAADAC supports workforce development for over 100,000 addiction counselors and other addiction-specific health care professionals in the United States, Canada and abroad. NAADAC provides education, clinical training and certification for evidenced-based prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery support.

This year, A-G became an Approved Education Provider by voluntarily opening our educational programs to examination by the National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals (NCC AP) for content applicability to state, national, and international certification standards. This rigorous review process ensured that participants attending our training events received a consistent, reliable, and quality learning experience that is applicable to their careers and advanced understanding of addiction and other behavioral health-related issues.

NAADAC Approved Education Providers offer training and education for those who are seeking to become certified/licensed, for those who want to maintain their certification/license at the state or national level, for those who want to add to their education, and for those from other disciplines who want to learn more about substance use and co-occurring disorders.

As a provider, participants who attend A-G’s programs are given the contact hours and continuing education (CE) credits/units that will be accepted toward national credentialing by the NCC AP, as well as acceptance by many of the state licensing/certification bodies in addiction and other professionals.

This year, A-G provided CEUs to participants who attended our Minority Fellowship Program Certification Academy where we developed a three-day workshop on behalf of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to prepare providers, graduate and post graduate students seeking to become certified/licensed in the addiction field.

Since 2009, A-G has been committed to its work in Public Health and the Behavioral Health fields. With this designation, we hope to continue our efforts in training and workforce development.
